As you know, the ESRF is currently undergoing phase II upgrade. An opportunity has arisen for young SA scientists and engineers to work at the ESRF and get some training during the shutdown period. The training period will range from 6 to 12 months and will be in one of the following  micro-mechanics, X-ray optics, software for data analysis, extreme conditions and high power laser, automation.  It is expected that a maximum of two projects will be accepted.  It will be possible to associate the project with research towards aMSc
